Summary

The site of a military installation dating to the Second World War was digitally plotted from aerial photographs dating from the 1940s and 1950s during the Dorset Stour NMP. The site comprised buildings, access roads and a possible gun emplacement or searchlight battery. The site was destroyed by pre-plantation drainage prior to the planting of Ringwood Forest.

the site of a military installation dating to the Second World War was digitally plotted from aerial photographs dating from the 1940's and 1950's during the Dorset Stour NMP (1-2). The site comprised buildings, access roads and a possible gun emplacement or searchlight battery. The site was destroyed by pre-plantation drainage prior to the planting of Ringwood Forest (3).
