Summary

Parallel ridging associated with drainage ditches of probable late 19th century or early 20th century origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the south of The Warren, Avon Heath Country Park, Barnsfield Wood. Much of the system is still visible on recent imagery. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

Parallel ridging associated with drainage ditches of probable late 19th century or early 20th century origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 to the south of The Warren, Avon Heath Country Park, Barnsfield Wood (1). The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. Some are still visible under scrubby vegetation on recent imagery (2).
