Summary

A linear ditch is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 running roughly southwest-northeast across heathland at the northeast end of Matchams. The feature is considered likely to be a trackway of post medieval or early 20th century date and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

A linear ditch is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1945 running roughly southwest-northeast across heathland at the northeast end of Matchams (1). The feature is considered likely to be a trackway of post medieval or early 20th century date and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. The area was disturbed by earthmoving by 1961 and it is probable that the feature no longer survives (2)
