Summary
A table tomb in the churchyard of the ruined chapel of St Mary Magdalene marks the grave of Roger Syms, who died in 1657. The tomb is of stone and decorated with blind arcades on the sides, with rosettes.

‘(2) CHAPEL OF ST. MARY MAGDALENE, West Milton, stands 1,520 yards W. of the parish church. Only the W. end and tower is now standing, a new chapel having been built on the W. of the hamlet in 1873. … Monuments: … In churchyard—(2) to Roger Syms, 1657, table-tomb.’
