Full Description

A small post medieval extractive pit or dewpond to the northeast of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, is visible as an earthwork around 12m across on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The site lies to the east of an extensive quarry but is located in the corner of a field and may be a dewpond. The site is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
