Summary

A linear bank and ditched feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 in the field to the north west of Halcombe. It is considered to be a field boundary of medieval or later date and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

A linear bank and ditched feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 in the field to the north west of Halcombe (1). It is considered to be a field boundary of medieval or later date and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
