Summary

A long linear scarp runs for over 350m north-south along the eastern edge of Dry Close Plantation. It is visible as earthworks under trees on lidar imagery and is possibly the result of post medieval extraction although a natural origin for the feature is possible. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

A long linear scarp runs for over 350m north-south along the eastern edge of Dry Close Plantation. It is visible as earthworks under trees on lidar imagery and is possibly the result of post medieval extraction although a natural origin for the feature is possible (1).
