Full Description
A series of linear banks and ditches to the southeast of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The lynchets probably represent former medieval strip lynchets. Two long curving ditched linears show as trackways on an aerial photograph of 1947. These are not shown on the OS 1st Edition map (2) and are visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3) but appear disused. The lynchets are also visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
