Full Description
A small area of possible post medieval extraction around 75m long to the southwest of Stoke Knapp Farm, Stoke Abbott, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The possible quarried area is located on a shallow northwest facing slope against a field edge and may alternatively have a natural origin. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
