Full Description
A slightly curvilinear banked and ditched field boundary to the southwest of Folly Cottage, Broadwindsor, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The boundary is located within an enclosure pattern of probable medieval origin but with some post medieval modification. Its form suggests a possible medieval origin, although a later date is also possible. The site is still faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
