A small post medieval extractive pit or dewpond to the southeast of Cottage Farm, Broadwindsor, is visible as earthworks around 23m in length on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The site is shown on the OS 1st Edition map (2), suggesting a possible dewpond. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
