Summary

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs adjacent to Great Pitt Copse, west of Pitt Farm. The features are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs adjacent to Great Pitt Copse, west of Pitt Farm (1-2). The features are considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features have been partially levelled but the southern two boundaries are still visible on recent Google Earth imagery (3).
