Summary

An historic ditched field boundary to the northeast of Broadwindsor House, Broadwindsor, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s and on the latest Lidar imagery. The form of the boundary indicates a probable post medieval origin, although an earlier date is possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

An historic ditched field boundary to the northeast of Broadwindsor House, Broadwindsor, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on the latest Lidar imagery (2). The form of the boundary indicates a probable post medieval origin, although an earlier date is possible. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
