Summary

Units of narrow cultivation ridges are visible as earthworks to the northeast of Park Cottage on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The narrow form of the cultivation ridges potentially suggests post medieval narrow ridge and furrow, although an early 20th century date is also possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Units of narrow cultivation ridges are visible as earthworks to the northeast of Park Cottage on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The narrow form of the cultivation ridges potentially suggests post medieval narrow ridge and furrow, although an early 20th century date is also possible.The site is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
