Summary

A banked field boundary is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs to the west of Spearpit Coppice. It is considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A banked field boundary is visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 (1) to the west of Spearpit Coppice. It is considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has since been plough-levelled but is still visible as a cropmark on Google Earth imagery (2).
