Full Description
A unit of narrow cultivation ridges is visible as earthworks to the south of Knapp Farm on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and 1970s (2). The unit is contained within and enclosure of probable medieval origin but the narrow form of the cultivation ridges suggest probable post medieval narrow ridge and furrow. An early 20th century date is also possible. The site is still faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
