Summary

Field boundaries associated with the removed post medieval farmstead of Merryfields are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs to the south of Marshwood Manor. The farmstead is marked on the OS 1st edition map. Bank and ditched field boundaries and trackways were digitally plotted across an area of 100ha during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Field boundaries associated with the removed post medieval farmstead of Merryfields are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs to the south of Marshwood Manor (1-2). The farmstead is marked on the OS 1st edition map (3). Bank and ditched field boundaries and trackways were digitally plotted across an area of 100ha during the Marshwood Vale NMP. An irregular enclosure surrounds an orchard marked on the 1st edition map.
