Summary

A linear ditch and banked feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948, running east-westwards for over 500m. At it's eastern end it abuts the corner of the land running from Conegar Hill to Wootton Walks. It is possibly a trackway or series of field boundaries of medieval or later date. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, it has since been plough-levelled and is visible as cropmarks.

Full Description

A linear ditch and banked feature is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948, running east-westwards for over 500m (1). At it's eastern end it abuts the corner of the land running from Conegar Hill to Wootton Walks. It is possibly a trackway or series of field boundaries of medieval or later date. The feature was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, it has since been plough-levelled and is visible as cropmarks (2).
