Summary

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Howland Coppice. They are considered to be of medieval or later origin and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features are still visible on recent Goggle Earth imagery.

Full Description

Bank and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Howland Coppice (1). They are considered to be of medieval or later origin and were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The features are still visible on recent Goggle Earth imagery (2).
