Full Description
A post medieval dewpond or possible extractive pit to the east of Lower Park Farm, Broadwindsor, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on the latest Lidar imagery (2). The site is shown on the OS 1st Edition map (3) and is not marked as a quarry, despite being in an area of old chalk pits and quarries, suggesting this is a dewpond. The site is not visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (4). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
