Full Description
Two hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs immediately to the south of Prime Coppices (1). They are considered likely to be post medieval extractive pits or dewponds. The eastern pit is still visible as an extant earthwork on lidar imagery (2). The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The western pit lies within an area of cultivation ridges described in MDO38857 although the relationship between the two features is uncertain.
