Full Description
Historic ditched and banked field boundaries and possible post medieval trackways to the east of Coleplay Cottages, Broadwindsor, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on the latest Lidar imagery (2). The boundaries are located within a wider field pattern of probable medieval origin on the west side of Conegar Hill. They are likely to be post medieval in origin, although an earlier date is possible. The site may include some post medieval field drains. The site is visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
