Full Description
A large hollow, 38m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Bucklands Farm. It is marked as Old Clay Pit on the OS 1st edition map and is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, it is still an extant feature and is visible on lidar imagery (2).
