A large hollow, 72m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the north of Bucklands Farm. It is considered likely to be a post medieval extractive pit and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The feature is still an extant feature and is visible on lidar imagery (2).
