A post medieval chalk pit to the northeast of Park Cottage, Broadwindsor, is visible as an earthwork around 22m long on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on the latest Lidar imagery (2). The site is shown as 'old chalk pit' on the OS 1st Edition map (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
