Monument record MDO38792 - Historic field boundaries, Locust Common, Broadwindsor

Historic ditched field boundaries on Locust Common to the south of Littlewindsor, Broadwindsor, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and on the latest Lidar imagery. The narrow rectilinear boundaries form small regular enclosures, suggesting a possible post medieval date, although an earlier date is also possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

The site is still partially visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
