Full Description
Faint traces of medieval or post medieval cultivation marks are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south west of Great Coombe Farm (1). They lie within the medieval or later field system described in MDO38779. The features are considered likely to be post medieval cultcvation marks although an earlier (or later) origin is possible. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and the ridging is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
