Summary

Two oblong mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Sheepwash Farm. They are 10m to 15m long and 2-5m wide. They are morphologically similar to medieval or later pillow mounds. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Two oblong mounds are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Sheepwash Farm (1). They are 10m to 15m long and 2-5m wide. They are morphologically similar to medieval or later pillow mounds. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. The site has been plough-levelled and the features are no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
