Summary

Curvilinear mounds of uncertain date are visible as bare earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Nettlemore Farm. The features are between 30 and 50m across and may be extractive spoil heaps or of natural origin. They were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Curvilinear mounds of uncertain date are visible as bare earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Nettlemore Farm (1). The features are between 30 and 50m across and may be extractive spoil heaps or of natural origin. They were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP and are still visible as rounded grassed earthworks on recent Google Earth imagery (2).
