Summary

A trackway to the north of Hursey House, Burstock, is visible as a ditched earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s and on the latest Lidar imagery. The trackway is not shown on the OS 1st Edition map but is potentially post medieval or later in origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A trackway to the north of Hursey House, Burstock, is visible as a ditched earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and on the latest Lidar imagery (2). The trackway is not shown on the OS 1st Edition map but is potentially post medieval or later in origin.The trackway is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3)and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
