Summary

Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Peter's Gore. They are considered likely to be extractive pits of post medieval date. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Peter's Gore. They are each approximately 10m across and considered likely to be extractive pits of post medieval date. The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, they are not clear although possibly hidden under scrub vegetation on recent Google Earrth imagery.
