Summary

A small hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south east of Cypress Farm. It is 18m across and marked as a solid feature on the OS 1st edition map. The feature is considered likely to be an extractive pit or dewpond of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A small hollow is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the south east of Cypress Farm (1). It is 18m across and marked as a solid feature on the OS 1st edition map (2). The feature is considered likely to be an extractive pit or dewpond of post medieval origin. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP. It is no longer visible on recent Google Earth imagery (3)
