Summary

Historic banked field boundaries to the northeast of Whetham Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. The narrow rectilinear boundary form suggests a probable post medieval date, although an earlier date is possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

Historic banked field boundaries to the northeast of Whetham Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The narrow rectilinear boundary form suggests a probable post medieval date, although an earlier date is possible. The site is still partially visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2), although only faintly. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
