Full Description
A broad u-shaped bank or lynchet to the southwest of Burstock is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1)and on the latest Lidar imagery (2) . The bank or lynchet is located to the west of Manor Farm and may be a field boundary or enclosure bank associated with it. A date of origin is uncertain but a medieval to post medieval date range is most likely. A modern field boundary now truncates the bank on its eastern side. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
