A post medieval extractive pit to the west of Park Water Cottages is visible as an earthwork around 60m long on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1) and a Lidar survey of 2010 (2). The site is still visible and under tree cover on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
