A post medieval extractive pit to the south of Whetham Farm is visible as an earthwork on a Lidar survey of 2010 (1). The area of quarrying sits at the southwest extent of a probable post medieval drainage system (MDO38647). The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
