Monument record MDO38635 - Historic field boundaries, Lower Pound Farm, Northwood, Wootton Fitzpaine

Two short sections of linear bank are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Lower Pound Farm. They fit in with a system of small fields marked on the OS 1st edition map which have since been removed. The features are considered to be field boundaries of historic origin, they were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Two short sections of linear bank are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the north east of Lower Pound Farm (1). They fit in with a system of small fields marked on the OS 1st edition map which have since been removed and are considered to be field boundaries of historic origin. They were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP and have since been levelled and are no longer visible on more recent Google Earth imagery (2).
