Parallel linear features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the south of Northwood. They are possibly the remains of a medieval strip field system although alternatively they may be of later date (possibly field boundaries or drainage features). The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

They are possibly the remains of a medieval strip field system although alternatively they may be of later date (possibly field boundaries or drainage features). The features were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, they have since been levelled and are no longer visible on more recent Google Earth imagery (2).
