Full Description
Post medieval banked field boundaries to the northeast of Lowdown Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s (1) and on a Lidar survey of 2010 (2). The boundaries are not shown on the 1st Edition historic mapping but are probably of post medieval date. The boundaries form regular rectilinear enclosures within a larger field with curving boundaries of probable medieval origin. The boundaries are faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
