Monument record MDO38597 - Historic field boundary, Penn Farm Cottages, Wootton Fitzpaine

A sinuous linear banked field boundary is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Penn Farm Cottages (1). The feature fits into the current pattern of small irregular fields which may have a medieval (or earlier) origin. It is considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval date and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
