Summary

Lock-up built in the early nineteenth century. The walls are built of coursed, squared rubble with a gable-ended, tiled roof, and no windows.

Full Description

<1> Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (England), 1972, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume IV (North), 30 (Monograph). SDO99.

'(9) LOCK-UP (80652651), 70 yds. S. of (1), is a small single-storey building (19½ ft. by 10¾ ft.), of squared rubble with a tiled roof. It probably is of the early 19th century. A narrow doorway in the S. side has a four-centred head under a simple pitched label; there are no other openings. The interior is lined with brickwork.'
