A post medieval extractive pit about 50m in length to the northwest of Coombe Farm is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The extractive pit is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2) and Lidar survey (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
