Full Description
A series of linear bank and ditched features of medieval or post medieval origin are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the east of Elsdon's Lane, Monkton Wyld (1). The features appear to form a series of small paddocks and may relate to a removed settlement. There is nothing marked at this location on the OS 1st edition map. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP, it has since been levelled and is no longer visible on the latest Google Earth imagery.
