Full Description
Undated banked and ditched field boundaries to the south of Temple Brook Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). The regular straight boundaries suggest a probable post medieval origin and the narrow cultivation marks of probable post medieval cultivation (MDO38594) are visible within these boundaries and respecting them. The wider field pattern at Temple Brook Farm suggests a broadly medieval pattern of enclosure with some later post medieval enclosure. The field boundaries are still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
