Summary

A series of rectilinear ditch and bank field boundaries to the southwest of Swillets Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s. Their arrangement may suggest a post medieval origin, although this is not certain. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A series of rectilinear ditch and bank field boundaries to the southwest of Swillets Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s (1). Their arrangement may suggest a post medieval origin, although this is not certain. The ditched features are still partially visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
