Full Description
Two historic field boundaries to the southwest of Knapp Farm are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1970s (1) (2) and (3). The banks or lynchets are positioned on the crest and southeast facing slope of a low rise in the corner of a field and their slightly curvilinear form may suggest field boundaries of a medieval or later origin. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (4). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
