Monument record MDO38550 - Historic field boundaries, Specket Cottage, Broadwindsor

Please read our .

Summary

Historic banked and ditched field boundaries are visible as earthworks to the northeast of Specket Cottage on aerial photographs of the 1940s and 1970s. The relatively straight linear form of these boundaries potentially suggests a post medieval origin, but they are slightly misaligned with adjacent post medieval boundaries and an earlier date is also possible. The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
