Full Description
An undated ditched field boundary to the north of Templeman's Ash is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in the 1970s (1). The linear boundary appears to overlie an earlier irregular, slightly curvilinear boundary (MDO38543) of possible medieval or post medieval date, which suggests a secondary phase of enclosure during the later post medieval period or later. There has been significant boundary removal within this area since the 1970s but this boundary is still faintly visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
