Full Description
A post medieval extractive pit to the east of Revelshay Farm is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s (1). A second area of extraction (MDO38525) is located at the southeast corner of the same field. The site is showing as partially levelled and under cover of low scrub and woodland on vertical aerial photographs of 2009 (2) and on the latest Google Earth imagery (3). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
