Full Description
A series of probable medieval strip lynchets to the northwest of Sliding Hill are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s (1). The lynchets are located on a south facing slope within fields of probable medieval origin and are likely to be contemporary in date. The site is still visible on the latest Google Earth imagery (2). The site was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.
